Baby Mozarts
Sophie and Alden make a pretty good team, don’t they?
They were playing background music at Jamie’s Homecoming Party. :D
Easter Egg Hunt
Okay.. It’s been kinda crazy around here with the move and my brother’s wedding reception. My computer didn’t have internet until today, and Joe’s laptop doesn’t have a working card reader… So I haven’t been able to post anything. Sorry.
The day before Easter (general conference), there was an Easter Egg Hunt event at the Pioneer Park in Provo. It was during Saturday morning conference, but I convinced Joe to let us go.. lol.
We barely made it on time, and there were so many kids and parents, we didn’t think we’ll be able to find a parking spot on time. We saw the perfect parking spot open, except it was a little too small for anyone to park (thus being left open until then). Joe successfully parked there with about 4 inches on both sides of the car (wow). We just made it to the first circle as they blew the whistle, only to find out that we were in the 9-10 age group circle! I helped Alden pick up one egg, and I hurried and picked up three more and put them in his basket before the whole park was cleaned out in 10 seconds!
We ran over to the toddler section but it was already well cleaned out by the overly zealous parents… Ha ha.
So that… is the story of our first Easter Egg Hunt. Fortunately, two of the eggs had Smarties in them, one of the few candies Alden can eat, so I divided them up in to all the eggs equally and gave them back to him. He loved the idea of having candy in those brightly colored balls. Ha ha.
We didn’t have time to take any pictures over at the park, so here are some pictures of him opening them up and sharing the candy with grandpa and daddy.

Broken Leg
Alden has a big old cast on his leg. Poor thing.
We thought he had just an ankle sprain, which did swell up and get better in a couple of days.
But he would just refuse to put weight on his left foot, no matter what we tried.
We were afraid that he'd become afraid of putting weight on it and would forget how to walk eventually...
So a week after his accident, I called the pediatrician's office, and they told me to come in right away (actually in about an hour of when I called!). The doctor explained to us that sometime kids his age get something called "toddler's fracture," and it doesn't usually show up on the x-ray until 10-14 das after the injury. He recommended that we have another x-ray taken, so we drove to the hospital to get that done. Turns out, he has a hairline fracture on his upper shin, so we had to go back the next day to get a cast done on his leg. He's been in the cast for about 10 days now, and is completely back to normal. He's been running around in the cast almost normal, but he has to be in the cast for another couple weeks. I will post pictures soon, I promise.
Chatter Box
Most of it's incomprehensible, like, "Da da dadada, dadi da, bab di?"
But he did say some words that were kind of understandable and surprised me.
Words he said today are:
1. Ba ba (I think he meant Bye bye)
2. Go go
3. 여기 (here in Korean)
4. 저기 (there in Korean)
5. 불 (light in Korean)
Mostly, he's just been yelling and talking to himself all day long. I hope this is the beginning of his talking phase...
He can't even say mama yet... :'(
