For Thanksgiving, our family went up to Bountiful to see the family. It was our first trip up. We got to stay at Dad's place. Alden had fun time playing with all the family members. Surprisingly, Pookie was pretty good with Alden. She didn't bother him at all. He probably bothered her a lot, however, by taking everyone's attention to him. She tried to get people's attention by rolling on the floor, etc., but couldn't take people's attention off of Alden. lol. She tried to get me to pet her by rubbing against my foot, lying down on top of my foot, nudging my foot, rolling on the floor by my foot, etc. She ended up just giving up and petting herself by rubbing against my foot. Ha ha.

For Thankgiving dinner, we went to Uncle Kevin's. It was nice to see everyone and have everyone meet Alden for the first time. Sophie was asleep when we got there, and she only woke up after Alden fell asleep, so they didn't get to play with each other much. We did find out, though, that Alden now weighs more than Sophie!!!

Thankfully, uncle John put Alden to sleep right before dinner, so we could eat!
Sophie woke up just before dinner and sat by Joe. She must've been pretty hungry because she started sucking on Joe's arm! lol.
Joe and I brought our ds and yearim's, plus Tom brought his. We all played Mario Kart against each other. Laura killed everyone.

And then we drove home for my mom's 50th birthday. She got a nice wall-mounted tv in her bedroom for mother's day, and she wanted a DVD player in her room. So as a birthday gift, Joe installed a shelf in her room, and put a DVD player (she had one in her study) in there. It looks very professionally done. :) Now mom can watch her favorite movies on her bed.
We had some friends and a cousin come over for birthday dinner. We ate pork bulgogi (that mom had prepared the day before. ha ha.) and seaweed soup (traditional birthday food in Korea) for dinner. We didn't get a cake (no one would've eaten it) so we used my mom's favorite candy as a candle holder to blow out the candle. lol. We got Yeagi (who is in The Netherlands for her Master's) on Skype and dad on the phone on speaker to sing Happy Birthday all together. My brother recorded himself singing Happy Birthday and sent the movie as a birthday gift all the way from Korea. It was a nice evening.
