Cold, cold, and cold

So.... Joe and I are both sick with the cold. Very nasty sore throat and coughs keep us up at night, especially Alden. since we both keep coughing through the night. In hopes of getting better, we took a refuge at my parents house last weekend. We got there on Friday around 4 pm and didn't come back home until Sunday at 8 pm. Well, Alden got to have his own queen size bed, and that was nice...

And it was also very nice to have my parents take care of the baby while we slept, and slept, and slept... (or watch TV)

My dad was in town for a couple of weeks, and he had some great time with his grandson. Alden really got to know my dad, and I think he started to recognize him because he kept smiling whenever he saw my dad.

Oh, yeah, and Alden has progressed to sucking on his "index" finger, instead of his whole fist. I guess he figured out that he has fingers....

And we are trying to teach him that he has his feet. lol.

We are hoping to recover quickly before school starts in full swing. Hopefully we'll be well before the end of this week....
